First companion type

After seeing the "what will you first companion be?" thread, I went onto the Kasaria wiki and looked at all the pets. Somewhere amongst my looking, I saw the word "toy" and then found the toy type.
After realising the design changed slightly, and so did the companion I was leaning towards, I looked into all the companion types, but it got me thinking

Will we have some sort of choice with a first companion's type, assuming we get to choose our first? Will they be randomised or the basic type?

FYI, I love toy type companion, especially Coalebre and Gocorn.

Purple or brown? Hnng...that's a tough choice. Go with something that's no doubt lovely and natural, or go with an awesome more vibrant colour. ;u;

Ah, sorry, I just meant how the basic looks different from, say, the toy type.

I really love the yellow and brown. Most yellows are harsh and bleh, but you've chosen a nice pastel.

Dragonfluff, the Toy Coalebre is one of the reasons why I am interested in picking it as my first companion!

I'll probably go blue too, purely because it, to me, is the most front and centre of the basic colours?

My first ever pet on a petsite was a blue wocky, so I kinda default to blue for a new pet. It just feels right, haha.

If it's a matter of the four basic choices I almost always go for blue unless another colour better suits the critter's namesake. Blues are always just so lovely to me. ;u;

I really love the purple for Coalebre, tbh, I think it looks lovely with the gold markings - though that isn't a starter colour.
I also really love yellow pets in general, so I'm not sure what I'll do...

Picking the color of the companions themselves is pretty difficult, but luckily there are items to change your companion's color! So even if you end up choosing blue, you can always change it up later

Did anyone see any other types of companions they liked? Any favorites?
I know I'm going to have a hard time myself! There's at least 7 of each in every type I want!

I have WAY too many I want. ;-; It'll be really hard to choose.
