Sort of same. It's during the first week back at school, but I already have so much! Heaps of assignments, buck loads of homework.
If uni is worse than high school I don't wanna go >.<

Uni is worse. A PhD is even worse. Everything gets worse forever. 0_0



(But at least after High School you get to choose what you want to study. That helps a lot, I promise. )

I can attest to that, Epi. I've done Uni and College (currently getting a degree in Museology, but I have one in Anthropology and a double-minor in Art History and Religious Studies). You either power through school or it runs you over. xD

No way, Epi! That's awesome. Yeah, I'm a true-blue Anthropologist, but I love Museology too. And my double minors can attest to my weirder tastes. xD

I don't really know what I want to do with my life, as most high school students.
I don't really wanna go to Uni, if it's as everyone says. Like, I'm not that passionate about anything that I'd want to do all that work for it.
I'm really interested in drama and acting, but I've always been told it's a bit of a dud career to pursue - like all arts, no offence. It's hard to get money from, and rare to hit it big.
At the same time though, growing up live only ever worked it Hospitality, and I practically live and breath it. I can't say my dream is to be working in Hospitality, but going on a traineeship that way, sounds like a better choice than uni...

Well, I know American and English universities are different from those in my country (we are specialised from day one so you really do get a 'do or die' situation when choosing a field), but I still think people shouldn't go to uni if their hearts aren't in it. It's never too late to pick up studies, whether that be at uni or somewhere else, once you discover a passion or an interest. Doing a traineeship doesn't sound bad at all! You're still learning something useful.

And it's nice to be able to make money too, believe me I'm lucky I avoided debt as a student but my god, I was poor as a rat for seven years. =_=

Yes, were I am, the last two years of high school have two choices, OP (can go to uni) or non-OP
In OP you gotta do a specific amount of harder classes, then you work your butt of, to get a score that compares you to your class, then school, then state.
There is really no set-in-stone of getting a score.
For example, this is going to be complicated, I need a score 8/25. Now, let's say I get an A in drama. If lots of kids in my class have As, my score is lowered. Kids not doing well, drag my score down. If a lot don't have good grades to the point that I'm an anomaly, I get pushed up.
I then get compared with the school - same again. If a lot did well, pushed down. Some did bad, pushed down. A lot did bad, pushed up.
Then I'm compared to the state. If most kids got As this year, I am not gonna do well. If everyone got Cs, I am gonna go great.

The system is so dumb, and stressful, ontop of exams.
I don't have enough money to pay for uni, so I'll have to apply for government assistance as soon as I'm accepted, and pay them back once I'm earning a certain yearly amount (around 53k I believe)
And the education system paints uni as sort of a "do it, or you fail life" thing. So if you can do it, you have to. If not, you best be getting a job, traineeship or apprenticeship asap.

I'm trying to get a Certificate II in Hospitality at the moment, but the provider my school is doing it with makes it way harder than it should be.
I'm hoping to nab a traineeship, and maybe defer Uni to complete it, but none want a grade 12 student (except buisness, not my cup of tea) cause they'll still have me when I've graduated, when they only want to do it through school.
I'm hoping with my workplace, I can do a Certificate II in Retail, but I'm currently a trainee, and I sorta wanna know the ropes before I try swingin'

I sort of want to drop the uni-pathway, but I enjoy my classes, learning material, teachers, classmates. I just want to drop the stress.
The grades are more important that ever before, but ugh

After getting my BA I couldn't find work...so I went for an MA and am doubling it with a degree in Museology right now. ;u; I hope that'll prove to be more promising for future employment.

My degree is in Human Services, purposely broad so I can work in multiple field, be it social work, human services, etc. Basically anything with people being your clients for help in /something/. Right now I'm doing customer service because the job was super local.

I didn't even think about the debt, I don't wanna think about the debt. I'm still in my grace period. LOL.
